Celebrating life science - GX to exhibit at Collaborate 2017

10 October 2017

The Life Science sector in Wales has become one of the priority sectors supported by the Welsh Government. It now includes over three hundred and fifty different companies engaged in a diverse range of business from medical technology to pharmaceutical services, as well as diagnostic and research.

Representatives from a range of these companies will have the opportunity to spend a day networking and discovering the latest developments within the industry at a joint event, Collaborate 2017. The event is designed to encourage and promote collaborative projects between both the private and public sector. Now in its fourth year, GX’s managing director Mark Helmich and business development manager, Claire Banks are amongst those looking forward to exhibiting in the Taliesin Arts Centre, in Swansea University’s Medical School.

“The life science sector here in Wales is at the forefront of research,” notes Mark. “We are fortunate to have two large universities, Swansea and Cardiff, as well as several major companies based here. To ensure we can continue to attract funding and push the boundaries of life science development, events like Collaborate, which act as a forum to share ideas, are important.”

Collaborate is hosted by the Institute of Life Science (ILS) Enterprise and Innovation Team - Swansea University Medical School, Swansea University School of Management, ARCH Programme Team, ABM and Hywel Dda University Health Boards. Registration is free and attendance is CPD accredited, to reserve a place click here to register.
