Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2019

01 May 2019

As a product design engineering consultancy who’s worked in the medical sector for over thirty years, GX is excited to be joining over 250 exhibitors and attendees at this year’s Med-Tech Innovation Expo.

Heading to the Innovation Expo’s new home at the NEC in Birmingham from 15-16th May, will be GX’s business development manager, Claire Banks and managing director, Mark Helmich.

Attending for their fourth year, GX’s expertise in medical product design enables them to help companies develop innovative medical technology and create cost-effective healthcare solutions. Their latest pioneering medical projects include a wound healing device that uses blue light to treat chronic wounds.

The team at GX were instrumental in the development of the award winning ScanTrainer, a medical training device that helps to develop ultrasound scanning skills. A Copenhagen University Hospital study found that using the ScanTrainer had greatly accelerated ultrasound scanning skills in students. The product was also awarded the UK Healthcare Business Export Achievement Award in 2016.

As an award-winning team GX helps companies to develop new products as well as improving existing products through value engineering. Regardless of whether they’re designing something new or improving an existing design, GX ensures manufacturing will be cost-efficient and the finished product sleek and effective. The product design team research and use innovative materials and new technologies, to turn medical product ideas into commercial realities.

Come to stand D11 at the free to attend show to find out more about how GX could help; or contact us to talk about your idea or product.
