One of GX’s clients, Modern Water’s ground-breaking stand alone, online analytical toxicity instrument to measure water contamination, has been recognised by global industry analysts Frost & Sullivan for its innovation.
The Microtox Continuous Toxicity Monitor has won Modern Water the prestigious New Product Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan, an internationally recognized market research firm.
US-based Frost & Sullivan’s annual award programme is based on extensive product research to assess a product’s capabilities. Following Frost & Sullivan’s assessment Modern Water’s CTM was praised for the speed it can analyse, thereby reducing the risk of water contamination.
GX’s design team worked with Modern Water on the final design of the CTM using their extensive knowledge to incorporate low manufacturing costs to ensure a low economical unit price. Additionally, GX’s team of mechanical engineers helped integrate complex electronics with software which ensured that the CTM could be controlled via a colour touchscreen, or even remotely via the internet.
“This was a really exciting project to work on,” noted Mark Helmich, GX’s managing director. “The entire project took just eleven months from the initial mechanical and industrial design through to the addition of complex electronics. We continue to build units for Modern Water, many of which have been shipped to the Far East.”
