Dan Walmsley

Dan graduated from Leeds University with a 1st in Electronic Engineering. Since then he’s worked on projects ranging from gas detection systems, to developing multi-touch touch screen technologies and medical grade embedded software for insulin monitors.

At GX Dan works on software development, apps and electronics ensuring that both software and electronics work seamlessly together. GX has a multidiscipline approach to design which sees Dan working closely with colleagues from different design engineering disciplines. His knowledge of integrating apps and electronics, combined with his experience in coding and testing, has helped optimise product efficiency for a variety of products including a skin analyser product.

A bit about Dan

Since he was little Dan enjoyed taking things apart to find out how they work. He studied electrons so he could find out what makes the modern world tick.

At GX Dan works across a range of products for different industries, often starting with just an idea and developing it to the point where it could potentially be mass produced. There’s always something new and interesting to find out, he’s constantly learning by keeping up to date with the latest technologies and is able to draw experience from the many products he has previously worked on too.
