GX will be amongst 130 companies attending the annual medical manufacturing exhibition, Med-Tech Innovation, taking place at the Ricoh Arena over two days, 26-27 April.
Now in their 30th year, the product development team at GX has helped design a host of technical medical devices over the years, including diagnostic and medical equipment, plus surgical aids.
At this year’s show GX will be on stand 50, where managing director, Mark Helmich and design engineer, Liz Fall will be demonstrating a unique medical product, a lysis cartridge. These individual cartridges were specifically developed to allow quick and accurate collection, preparation and analysis of DNA samples taken at crime scenes.
“The lysis cartridges,” notes managing director Mark Helmich, “were developed as part of a team working with the Forensic Science Service and sums up how GX approaches each and every project. We are fortunate to include a wide variety of skills including mechanical, industrial, electronic, software and system design and engineering, all within one team. The key to the success of these cartridges was knowing how to work in conjunction with the scientists as the FSS and incorporate their requirements into a simple to use collection device.”
Mark and Liz will be available on Stand 50, to discuss how GX can help turn a brilliant idea into a commercial reality, whether it be a new idea, or to review of an existing medical product.
Entry to the Expo is free, all visitors need to register for Med-Tech.
