Each year MediWales hosts the annual Innovation Awards to celebrate the achievements within Welsh life sciences, along with corporate sponsors GX.
This year the calibre of entries was extremely high, with several companies whose achievements were notable of recognition, yet who did not fit the existing judging criteria. To honour these exceptional companies GX agreed to sponsor a new category, ‘The Judges Award’, which would be presented by leading professor of wound healing, Professor Sue Bale OBE.
“Our Judges Award encapsulated the spirit of these now well established NHS awards,” commented managing director of GX, Mark Helmich. “Without doubt the future of medicine lies in genetic testing. The team at the All Wales Genetics Lab are bringing about major changes and helping to push the current boundaries, we are extremely proud to be associated with them.”
